Fixy
A two-sided contractor marketplace I spent a year building: AI-assisted job intake, anonymous bidding, and Stripe Connect payments. Built and deployed, not publicly launched.
Marketplace · Mobile app · Stripe Connect · AI intake
What I built
A full two-sided marketplace for home-service jobs, built and deployed end to end: customers describe a job with photos and AI drafts an itemized estimate; contractors bid anonymously with privacy-protected locations; Stripe Connect handles deposits, payouts, refunds, and disputes; and both sides run the whole job lifecycle (bid, schedule, QR arrival check-in, completion, review) in role-specific mobile apps on a Django REST backend with 165 backend tests, deployed on Railway.
How it came together
A year of nights building for the exact trades I now build AI systems for. Fixy taught me contractor workflows from the inside: quoting, deposits, scheduling, disputes, payouts. It is honest proof I can ship marketplace-grade software with real payments, and it is labeled exactly what it is: built and deployed, not publicly launched.
