Fixy
A contractor app I built end to end and run as its own product. Contractors add a Fixy AI button to the website they already have. Customers describe the job and add photos, in English or Spanish, and the contractor gets a short summary, ready to quote.

What I built
Fixy has two sides.
Live now: a Fixy AI button a contractor adds to any website with one pasted line, or a request link they share. The customer picks the job, answers that trade's questions, adds photos and gets up to three follow-up questions, in English or Spanish, with no app and no account. Emergencies are flagged from the customer's own answers. The contractor works from a web workspace: requests sorted New, In progress and Finished, visit times, private notes, estimates the customer accepts online, invoices, and a status page the customer can check.
Built, opening later: a two-sided marketplace where homeowners post jobs, contractors bid anonymously with privacy-protected locations, and Stripe Connect handles deposits, payouts, refunds and disputes, in mobile apps on a Django REST backend deployed on Railway.
How it came together
A year of nights building for the trades I work with. Fixy taught me contractor workflows from the inside: quoting, deposits, scheduling, disputes, payouts. In October 2026 I opened the contractor side first, because contractors need their own requests organized before a marketplace can help them. Fixy now runs as its own product with its own website, and the marketplace opens later.
